Paper Pumpkin

I am really, really, really awesome at setting way too many goals than I can handle.  When I start a new endeavour (like Sunshine Papercrafts), I buy a new journal and FILL IT with lists, plans, doodles, dreams, designs, plans, plans, plans......and WAAAY too many goals.  So, I thought I'd take a moment to take a deep breath and set just a few goals for this month- then maybe I'll actually get them done.  Who else is in the overwhelmed by my self club?

This month I am committing to two goals for Sunshine Papercrafts:
1. get my handmade cards up for sale (!!!) and
2. share with you all the awesomeness of Paper Pumpkin, Stampin' Up!'s subscription-based craft box.

So, as I prepare to set up sample cards to sell, I will share with you a little bit of info on Paper Pumpkin. Just to give you a quick idea, here is the video showcasing April's Paper Pumpkin kit:

Paper Pumpkin is a monthly craft kit.  Each month is a different project and each month is a surprise, as in, you can't order a specific one- but each box comes with stamps, ink spots, prescored-precut paper, and embellishments (like string or sequins).  All you need from your own stash is glue and possibly scissors.

Wait, what? Stamps? AND ink? YES.  Each month you get a brand new one of a kind stamp set that you can not purchase by any other means. And each month you get a small ink pad.

This is a really, really great way to build up a stamp and ink collection, especially if you like to craft but don't want to commit to buying large stamp sets and ink packages.

Another thing I'd like to point out is not all the crafts are greeting cards. Some months will be cards, but some months will be other paper crafts. In the past there have been pinwheels, goodie bags (even cloth ones), small framed paper art, and other things.  And guess what? You dont have to follow the directions.  You can make anything you want with the supplies they send you.

ANOTHER awesome aspect to Paper Pumpkin is once you subscribe, you have access to past Paper Pumpkin kits.  For instance, next week I am going to show you a kit from December 2014.  As I myself just became a subscriber, I can't show you my new kit because I won't receive it until May- BUT I have access to a bunch of other Paper Pumpkin kits.  So of course, I looked through each one until I found some stamps I really wanted and bought that one.  Oh, you'll see what I got, I picked the coolest project- you will love it. Don't worry.

Below is the price breakdown. You can sign up for a monthly subscription, where each month $19.95 is deducted from your bank account, or you can do a prepaid subscription.  You can even buy gift subscriptions!

Anyone and everyone that purchases a 6 month prepaid subscription or a 12 month prepaid subscription will get a handy plastic case for holding all your new stamps and ink spots! This is a free gift from me and only available through May 24th.  I wanna keep you more organized than I am.

Try it out for a month! It's only $19.95!

The Art of the Thank You

*Signup for the event closes at 11:30 pm on Saturday, April 24

So, picture this: Someone does something nice for you, so you grab one of the rad cards you made at my class. That someone opens the card. The first thing they say when they see it is "Did you make this yourself?" and you say "YES!" And they say "It's so awesome!" and you say "YOU'RE AWESOME!" and warm fuzzies explode with a bunch of rainbows and unicorns and confetti (but no glitter, some people hate glitter) and "You're my best friend" by Queen starts playing and you two jump up and down and hug and it's be the best time ever.

Right, it doesn't quite happen like that, but saying thank you to someone can really make their day- and when you make the card yourself, it can make it even more special.  So how do you make these cards?

You come to my craft class!

The class will be held at my house on Sunday April 26th and will start at 2 p.m.
It costs $10 and you must RSVP here and pay the class fee by 11:30 pm on Saturday April 24. Once you rsvp, I will send you my address if you dont already know it.

You will make eight thank you cards (two each of four designs). We'll eat snacks, laugh, have fun. You go home with eight cards and eight envelopes.  There will be some door prizes, too!!

I spent the weekend designing these cards to be cute but simple to put together, so if you feel like a crafting klutz, have no fear- I cut out all the paper before hand, you just stamp (the fun part, eh) and glue, eat, laugh.  Fun!!

I will not be giving a Stampin Up! demonstration- this is a craft class and I will only be focusing on helping you put your cards together.  However, if you have any questions about the products, by all means, please ask.  :)

THERE ARE ONLY EIGHT SPOTS so text your friend about it and sign up today!

Interested in the cards but don't want to make them yourself? I'll make 'em for you- email me at sarah.sunshinepapercrafts@gmail.com
