Punching Fun

I got a new paper punch and I can’t stop punching shapes out.  It’s addicting.  In fact, this punch is so versatile, I had to show you the different shapes that are possible with just this one punch.  But then I realized there are only FIVE days left of Stampin’ Up!’s Sale-a-bration. What does that mean? It means there are only five days left to get a free sale-a-bration product for every $50 you spend at my store!  So, I picked out a few things that add up to fifty dollars and then I created a bunch of cards with these same products to show you all the things you can do with the same tools.  That’s what I like, being able to use my tools more than one way!

Above is the Decorative Label Punch, Stampin’ Write Markers in 2014-2016 In-Colors, a black Classic Stamp Pad, Whisper White Cardstock, and Dimensionals.  If you buy all five of these products, you can get the Simply Wonderful stamp set FOR FREE.  FREE STAMPS!!

This also happens to be a great group of products for beginners.  Not only can you get different styles of label punches with the Decorative Label punch, but the Stampin’ Write markers are a great way to add a lot of color to your projects at an amazing price.  What can you do with the markers that you wouldn’t be able to do with an ink pad? Well, you can use more than one color on a stamp or just use part of a particular stamp. The markers have two tips, a thicker one to ink up stamps and a thinner tip to write with.

You can even water color with them! For the card above, I just spread about an inch of color on a plastic bag and then used a wet watercolor brush to pick the color up and apply it to the paper.

I used a cotton ball to get the effect on the card above. Then, I created a template so I could find the perfect placing for the black card top.  I stamped my sentiment stamp and then used the template to get a perfect punch on the card top. Easy!

I made a huge mess and it was fun.  I wanted to make more but I caught that cold I always get when Winter is transitioning to Spring.  It’s a good sign though, right? It means it’s almost Spring!

Click on the link below, make sure in the upper left corner on the site it says “You are shopping with Sarah Heller”

Paper Pumpkin Kits!

Subscriptions are all the rage right now.  I can go on and on about how much I love my stitch fix and naturebox subscriptions- they are convenient and fun.  So, of course I am excited to tell you about Stampin' Up!'s subscription craft box, Paper Pumpkin!  Stampin' Up! is having a great sale on 3 month subscriptions, so let me tell you more about it.

When you sign up, Stampin' Up! will send you a little orange box filled with everything you need to complete a super cute paper project. The project could be a card set like this one or a different kind of paper craft. Past paper pumpkins have included gift boxes, gift bags, and a mini photo album. It's a fun surprise each month.  This is a fantastic way for beginners to experience stamping projects.  It's an easy way for experienced crafters to get creative and satisfy that hankering when you're in need of a craft-fix. It's a great way for anyone to build up their stamp collection!

Let's take a look at this Paper Pumpkin kit from a previous month.

Each kit comes with a stamp set and a mini stamp pad. This kit is from last year's June Paper Pumpkin box, hence the Father's Day theme.

Here is the paper-pack- it has pre-scored cards, envelopes, perforated tags, etc.  Some of the paper is backed with a sticker so you barely need glue.

Look at the cute embellishments! (I may have played with this before I showed it to you...)

Each kit comes with directions..... but if you wanted to, you could pull out a bunch of scrap paper and the Stampin' Write markers in the 2014-2016 In Colors to add a little color.  You could use another stamp set, like the Show and Tell photopolymer sets #1 and #2 to add a little more decor.  And of course, you could drink some dandelion root tea, because that's this crafters drink of choice while mess-making..er...crafting.

(card using kit contents only on right side, added extras on left side.
Note to self: remove groceries on other side of table before snapping website photos)

Each month's project can be completed in about 40 minutes, or you can create as you please.  I think these kits are a great "rainy day" craft project.  When I'm bored I can just pull it out and make a quick, pretty craft.  It's also perfect for sharing with nieces and nephews, grandkids, or, you know, your kids.

A subscription would also make a great GIFT!  I would freakin love you forever if you signed me up for this.

How do you get one?? Let me tell you!!  It's so convenient, you can sign up for a 1, 3, 6, or 12 month prepaid subscription. Here's the breakdown:

1 month  prepaid subscription: $19.95
3 month prepaid subscription: ON SALE for $54.85 (usually $59.85)
6 month prepaid subscription: $113.70 (save $1 each month)
12 month prepaid subscription: $215.40 (save $2 each month, that's like getting one free month)

If you buy a 3, 6, or 12 month subscription by March 31st, you will qualify for free Sale-a-bration items.  During March Sale-a-bration, for every $50 you spend, you get to pick 1 free item from the Sale-a-bration catalog.

If you purchase a 12 month subscription, you will get to pick FOUR free sale-a-bration items and qualify for $25 in Stampin' Rewards - which means you get an additional $25 of free product.  That's a ridiculous amount of free crafting stuff, guys.

Click here to sign up! (please select me as a demonstrator when checking out, thanks!)

Also I am looking for a few people to come to my workshop on Sunday, March 15th (that's this Sunday) from 1-3 pm.  Come over and learn about Stampin' Up! but more importantly, come over and craft with me!  You get to play with all the stuff I have and make a card to take home!

RSVP here!

Thanks for supporting me in my new venture, friends!  Have a great weekend!
